ESCAPE FROM DROWNING
TWO FISHERMEN OVERBOARD, By Telegraph.—Press Association. ’ " ’ ■ Auckland, July 22. Two brothers, M. and J. Janovich, narrowly escaped drowning when, swept overboard off a fishing launch near Cape Colville. One caught his fingers in the mesh of a net and was dragged overboard with it. His brother, trying to cheek the run of the net, followed °him into the sea. Both kicked off their sea boots and swam after the launch, which was travelling at nine knots, but eventually had to stop. Luckily- the third member of the crew emerired from the engine-room and heard hie shipmates’ cries from far astern and eventually both were taken aboard again unharmed.
