MAIL SERVICES BY AIR
INCREASE IN PATRONAGE. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. The service which has been inaugurated for the utilising of air mail services in Australia, Canada and the United States and the Karachi to London route has been very well patronised, according to statements made by officials of the Post and Telegraph Departmente. Philatelists have been active'but the officials do not know to what extent. Nevertheless the idea of using the air mail is growing and the amount of mail for conveyance by air services is increasing. Especially valuable is the Karachi to London service, which eaves fyom three to ten days when considered alongside the Vancouver route, the saving varying according to the time between the departure of the two mails and the steamer connection between Australia and India.
