CONFERENCE PASSES REMITS. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, July IT. At the Power Boards’ conference remits carried were:— That the Government be urged to <rrant authority for the investment of depreciation and reserve funds in all securities that the commissioners of the depreciation fund deem desirable. That the Government be requested to amend the Local Authorities Superannuation Act to permit of an endowment, assurance or saving fund. That the Government assist to uO per , cent of the capital cost lines and socou- , darv equipment to extend services to scattered agriculturalists and pastoralists* That the Government alter the scale charges so that small boards shou.d not pay ; °a higher pro rata rate than the large ones.
