SIR H. WILKINS’ COMPLAINT. By Telegraph—Press Assn. —Copyright. London, July 16. Sir Hubert Wilkins said he was leaving New York in May? His actual expedition by submarine to the Pole begins at Spitzbergen for Alaska. ' The object is purely geographical and will show the world the possibility of reaching the Pole, by diving beneath the ice. He will be able to stay under for a maximum of two and a half days. He has arranged to broadcast his progress whilst on the surface.... “Why does not Australia help me? 1 is remarkable that an Australian is heading the expedition, without a single penny from his own country,” he added.
