Mrs. W. 0. Williams was hostess at an .afternoon party for Miss Ruth Hawken on Friday last, the guest of honour wearing a smart navy ensemble with hat to tone. The flowers in the drawingroom were a delight. There were large bowls of hydrangeas, iris, antirrhinums and violets. After tea Miss Hawken received a number of “pink” gifts.
