IMPRISONED FOR VAGRANCY
ALLEGED ATTEMPT TO DEFRAUD. By Telegraph.—Press Association. .. Gisborne, June 12. Three months’ hard labour was the sentence imposed in the Police Court this morning on Arthur Cook, aged 30, on a charge of vagrancy. According to the police accused made a despicable attempt to defraud a clergyman and but for the latter’s charity in destroying a forged order Cook would have faced more serious charges.
