MONEY AND WAGES.

(To the Editor.) Sir, —“Fair Play” makes us realise how terribly frightened we all are of the “Labour Boss.” When he shakes his fist, we must all keep silent and drift to disaster. If it conies to fighting we will all be on the one side, as we all want all we can get, but surely when we are up against it to be demanding more money than there is available means “financial chaos,” and it is pretty hard to condemn men to idleness and starvation because they cannot get what is not there. Our Prime Minister, our bankers, the people’s pockets, all indicate that money is in very short supply. Why starve in a land of plenty? —I am, etc., HALF-A-LOAF.
