Reports are current in the north that a strike ie looming in the coal mining industry, but officials at Wellington in touch with both the employers and the workers give an emphatic denial to any suggestion that an upheaval is imminent. Neither has the Labour Department or the Mines Department received any information that would give rise to such a story.
