IMPROVING COLD WEATHER.
By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. The weather will still be squally with heavy showers at times, especially on the east coast. There will be some snow on the highlands and parts of the South Island. The weather will be improving from the westward to-morrow. Temperatures will be very cold. The cyclone is now cast of Chatham Island, but pressure has risen still further over south-eastern Australia. There will be southerly winds strong to gale force. Seas will be heavy on the west coast north of Auckland and between Napier and A'karoa, and rough elsewhere.
