A REAL ESKIMO DOG.
■ONE OF ADMIRAL BYRD'S PACKLEADERS. Nearly everyone has read with interest the adventures of Admiral Byrd's team of Esquimaux dogs and of the valuable work they accomplished on the recent South Pole expedition. Patrons to the New Plymouth Winter Show have an opportunity of actually seeing an Esquimo dog, originally one of Admiral Byrd’s packleaders. This handsome silver-gray animal, almost as big as a lion, is on view in the side-show division at the winter show. It is interesting to note that ho was born nt the South Polo, and ho is well worth seeing. At the recent Whangarei Winter Show, the fin<t time he had been on exhibition, ho attracted enormous, .public attention.
