REPLACEMENT OF CRUISERS
NAVAL TREATY TERM DEFINED. By Telegraph—Press Assn.—Copyright. Washington, June 5. The State Department announced an exchange of notes with Japan and Britain, under which the term “replacement” in the naval treaty is held to be one for strict application, so that one type of cruiser cannot be replaced with other types.
