Ono morning recently two boards of directors, one in Sydney and the other,, •in London, talked over the phone for 28 minutes, and a deal involving over £125,000 was completed. At St. James building the board of directors of Australasian Brokerage, Ltd., and Mr. Rosenthal, representing a Sydney group, purchased tbe> Vocalion foreign assets in Australia, which includes the fae-. tory. At the Vocation office in London tho directors of the company had thq conversations broadcast to stenographers, and the deal was completed in 2$ minutes. Tho cost of the conversation amounted to £57. Without the facility offered by thei phone, the deal would have taken months of cabling before being corn* pleted..
