SALES IN NORTH TARANAKI. SUM OF £13,133 IN FIVE DAYS. Quietly, and unostentatiously as far as most people in Taranaki are concerned, Jersey week in North Taranaki has just passed. Yesterday., and to-day the sales were concentrated in Central Taranaki, and next week they move south. It is a fine feather in tho cap of Taranaki that the province is regarded so unmistakeably by the rest of New Zealand as the home of the elite of the Jerseys, for outside breeders from all over the Dominion, especially from the Waikato and East Coast districts, purchased the majority of the cattle.
