TWENTY ARRESTS MADE
CHARGES UNDER GAMING ACT.

Greymouth, Last Night.
The police on Saturday afternoon raided two places in Greymouth and as a result 20 per sons were later charged wibh breaches of the gaming laws.
Philip Stewart was charged with keeping a common gaming house. He was remanded by a Justice of the Peace on bail of £5O- until May 19. James Heffernan, who was on the same premises in Mawhera Quay, was charged with, assisting in keeping a common gaming house. He was 'remanded till May 19 on bail of £25. Fifteen others arrested on the same premises were likewise remanded on bail of £5 .each until May 10. Daniel McCarthy was charged with keeping a common gaming house in Boundary Street and was remanded until May ”19 on bail of £5O. Two others, arrested at his premises, one being a woman, were also charged and were remanded until May 19 on bail of £<•> each.
