CRASH IN MOTOR-CAR RACE
THREE KILLED AT BROOKLANDS.
CAR HURLED AMONGST CROWD.

Three were killed and several spectators injured in a sensational accident at Brooklands during a 24 hours’ test- in which 59 motor 'acers were competing. Two Talbo' , an Alfa Romeo and an Austin were racing at over 80 miles an hour when the Talbot, driven by Rabagliot : , skidded and was hurled over the fence amongst the crowd, killing his mechanic, Allery, also a man and a woman in the crowd.
The occupants of the Talbot, which was closely following, had miraculous escapes. It crashed into the wreckage, but they crawled out practically unhurt.
