FAREWELL TO MR. D. A. SADLER.

Mr. D. A. Sadler, who has been promoted to the position of headmaster at Alton, was entertained at morning tea by his fellow teachers. Mr, W. A. Brown, headmaster, voiced the regret felt by all t Mr. Sadler’s departure, and expressed their hopes for his continued success in the teaching profession, Later, Mr, Sadler was entertained by his classes, standards 5 and 6, at an impromptu concert, the items of which had been prepared within a day or two, as Mr. Sadler's departure was unexpected. At the conclusion of the entertainment Mr. Brown on behalf of the children presented Mr. Sadler with a clock suitably inscribed. In making the presentation Mr. Brown spoke of 'the excellent relations existing between Mr. Sadler and his pupils, of the success of some of his old pupils at the high school, and of his willingness to assist in those things over and above the bond. The ceremony concluded with hearty cheers for Mr, Sadler, -who responded.
