TECHNICAL HIGH SCHOOL.

MORE ACCOMMODATION NEEDED.

The principal, Mr. A. H. R. Amess, reported to the monthly meeting of the Stratford High School Board of Managers last night that the roll was 30.1. The attendance had been very good and the work of the school was satisfactory. The roof was being put' on the library building and good progress was being made. Recently the board had decided to cnlarg the metal work room. On consultation with the teachers engaged in that work he thought it would be better to carry on with the present building and to ask the department to erect a larger permanent building in concrete. Application will be made for a grant for the erection of a machine room and an extra classroom. The matter of extending the plantation to embrace the end of the football ground was left to the chairman with power to act. The bicycle shed will be extended 40 feet. GENERAL ITEMS. , ; The Stratford Boxing Association has arranged for the ‘ light-heavyweights Miller (Stratford) and Cleverley (Wellington) to meet at Stratford on Thursday, May 29.
