Biiter opposition is shown towards the Bill to restore the 48-hour week introduced in the Asembly by the Treasurer, Mr. Stevens. Mr. Baddeley challenged the Government to go to the country for a fresh mandate. The measure also provides for the rationing of work, and the legal sanction of piece-work.
