The newspaper Literary Digest in a poll of 4,150,017'v0tes ascertained the ing figures:—l,24B,sB9 for enforcement, 1,231,849 - for modification and 1,669,579 for repeal of the prohibition law. North Carolina, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Kansas and Arkansas cast a majority for strict enforcement. Only New York, Connecticut and Rhode Island h:d a majority for repeal.
