“Counsel has said that the necessity for strict proof increases according to the seriousness of the crime,” observed his Honour Mr. Justice Blair in the Supreme Court at Wellington. “Welk I don’t accept that at all. There is no difference in the. proof required, whether the charge is a major one or a minor one.”
