CO-OPERATIVE MARKETING
MELTING URGES AMALGAMATION. By Tolegra t»li- —Press Association. Dargavillc, May 7. At a very largely attended meeting of dairy factory suppliers last night to hear an address by Mr. G. D. MacFarlane, of the New Zealand Producers’ Cooperative Marketing Association, on the dairy marketing problem, the following resolution was unanimously carried: “That in view of the necessity of the dairy farmers of New Zealand adopting a scheme of orderly co-operative marketing this meeting urges the New Zealand Producers’ Co-operative Marketing Association and Amalgamated Dairies, as the only two co-operative marketing companies in New Zealand of dairy produce, to combine their efforts to achieve this desirable object, and as the suppliers of the Northern Wairoa Dairy Company will bo asked to pass an opinion at the annual meeting as to the necessity of joining such a scheme it will greatly help them in their deliberations if amalgamation or other harmonious agreement can be arrived e.t by those two companies before that date.”
