ATHLETIC CHAMPIONSHIPS
ALL ALLOTTED TO TARANAKI. The announcement was made at the M.dhirst axemen’s carnival yesterday that in view of the > rominem-e of athletics in Taranaki th? New Zealand and Cycl-ng Union had offered all running and cycling championships to the province for competition next year. “There are over 30 affiliated clubs conducting sports meetings in Tara-, naki,” added Mr. T. Kirkwood, who made the announcement.
