RESULTS FROM PALMERSTON. ■ By Tolegrapli.—Press Association. Palmerston North, May 7; At Hokowhitu links to-day the first open autumn foursomes of the Ladies” Golf Union was begun. . The entriea numbered 74. The introduction of the open foursomes was due to Mrs. Guy Williams (Masterton), president of the Ladies’ Golf Union, who is donor of two handsome silver cups as trophies, replicas of which, to,be presented to the winners, have been donated by Miss ’E. Culling (Auckland). The principle of the competition is to encourage the team spirit. Results: — First Round. Misses E. Culling (Auckland) and D.
