ACCIDENT TO FIREMAN
FALL THROUGH DAMAGED FLOOR. By Telegraph.-—Press Association. Napier, Last Night. The superintendent of tho Napier fir# brigade, J. H. Riddell, met with an accident this morning when inspecting a two-storey wooden building which was partly destroyed by fire. Riddell was on the much damaged first floor .when he fell through to a concrete floor below. Ho was removed to hospital Where it was ascertained he had suffered a seveqj scalp wound and painful body bruises. Riddell did not lose consciousness and his condition to-night was reported to be satisfactory. His skull is not thought to be fractured but this is not certain until after an X-ray examination to-morrow.
