NEW PLYMOUTH BOROUGH COUNCIL SPECIAL LOAN OF £11,200THE New Plymouth Borough Council hereby gives public notice that it proposes to borrow the sum of £11,200 by way of Special Loan under “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926." (a) The particular purposes for which the Loan is required are: £9600: To construct an extension of the Council's Electric Tramways from the preset terminus near the junction of David and Tukapo Streets in the Borough of New Plymouth along Tukapo Street to the end of that street at the Southern boundary line of the said Borough including in such purpose the provision pf all plant appliances, rails, materials and other things necessary or useful therefor, the payment of compensation to persons injuriously affected thereby and any matter or thing incidental or in relation' to the said purpose. £1600: To construct Tukapo Street from the end of that street at the Southern boundary line of the Borough tj the junction of the said street with David Street inincluding in such purpose the formation and surfacing of the street and the construction of footways and channels, the provision of all plant appliances materials and other things necessary or useful therefor, the payment of compensation to persons injuriously affecß thereby and any matter or thing incidental or in relation to the said purpose. ' , (b) The sum td'be borrowed for all such purposes is £11,200 at a rate of interest not exceeding £5 10s per centum per annum with a sinking fund of Three pounds (£3) per centum per annum additional. (c) The proposed security for the said Loan of £11,200 and the interest and sinking fund thereon, is an annually recurring special rate of one-fifth of a penny (l-sthd.) in the pound on the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the said Borough of New Plymouth, and it -is proposed to repay, the. said Loan on the first day of April ; 1950. (d) It is. proposed to pay out of the said Loan the cost of raising the said Loan, but not the interest and sinking fund thereon for' the first year.
