David Low’s cartoon in the Evening Standard entitled: “Another threatened fall in British Exports,” depicts John Bull with a van-load of tailors’ dummies court-dressed and cock-hatted. Mr. Scullin is building a protection wall with the notice: “No vice-regal hawkers.”
He tells John Bull: “No governors today, thanks. We’re thinking of manufacturing them locally.”
