INCREASED DEPOSITS SHOWN.

Dunedin, Last Night.
The annual meeting of the Dunedin Savings Bank was held thia afternoon. The amount deposited during the year was £1,013,295, and the amount withdrawn .was £929,592. The amount standing to the credit of depositors at th" close of the year was £1,900,594. The deposit account was augmented by the addition of £83,506, which represents the interest due to depositors for the i 12 months. The number of depositors steadily increased. In 1925 there were 10,716, in 1930 25,277. The balance to the credit ol depositors on March 31, 1929, was £1,733,385, whereas for the year just ended it was £1,900,594. The list of benefactions totals £4550, including £l5OO to the cancer research lund and*£looo to the chair of-obstetrics.
