RIFLE SHOOTING
KAPONGA CLUB SUCCESSES.
About a dozen marksmen from the Kaponga Rifle Club jouvnied to New Plymouth during Easter and took part in the rifle championship meeting. D. Hollard and L. Mellow, two 17-year-old boys, finished second for the championship belt, while D. Hollard won the cup for the best score over the long ranges with the fine score of 95 out of a possible 100. A. R. Heather also won the 800 yards match. On Wednesday two more ranges were fired for the Kaponga club’s championship and handicap cups. Following are the results:—
