TOWN PLANNING INQUIRY
T, TOUR OF NORTH ISLAND.

The regional boundaries committee of the Town Planning Board, which recently -conducted public inquiries throughout the South Island to determine regional areas in accordance with the Town Planning Amendment Act of last session, will commence its North Island inquiries on Thursday, May 1, when evidence will be heard at Whangarci. The investigations will conclude with the committee’s sitting at Wellington on June 4. The members of the committee are Mr. S. Blackley (chairman), the Director of Town Planning (Mr. J. W. Mawson), Mr. H. S. Walsh and Mr. A. Bogle.. In addition to Whangarei and Wellington the committee will hear evidence at Auckland, Hamilton, Tauranga, New Plymouth, Napier, Hawera, Wanganui, Palmerston North and Masterton. As well as local authorities, hospital ,harbour and education boards, chambers of commerce and other social and voluntary organisations are being invited to offer evidence at the inquiries.
