SYDNEY CITY LOAN
TERMS OF LOAN EXPLAINED.
New York, April 7.
The Sydney metropolitan bonds will be placed on the market to-morrow in an issue of 7,500,060 dollars at 92£, yielding 6.15 per cent, and callable ,on any interest date, beginning on May 1, 1940, at par. It is understood that a cumulative .sinking fund of one-half of 1 per cent, per annum will be used to purchase time and labour-saving machinery and bonds in the market at or below par, or to draw a bond by lot at that price.
