Wellington, Last Night. _ The-text -of various statements recently made at Auckland in re&pect of the riots in Western Samoa by Mr. Hall Skelton and his associates has been conveyed to the Administrator, of Western Samoa and. his replies thereto are a series of denials of their accuracy. The replies have been, issued by the Prime Minister. ■ “With reference to the allegations made by one Polley,” said the Prime Minister, ■ “the only answer that it is necessary .to make is that from affidavits in-the possession, of the Administrator it iis clear that despite his assertions Polley’did -not see the riot at all; Mr. Hall Skelton has, of course, never suggested that he was present at the scene of the disturbance.”
