A deputation .recently waited on the Canterbury Education Board's appointment committee arid urged that married women teachers should not be employed if their husbands aro-in a position to support them. The appointment committee recommended,' the deputation to try to have tho law amended. When the matter came before the board to-day tho following resolution was passed: The board is unanimous in reiterating its opinion as to the desirableness of restricting the employment of married women teachers.”
