Political scandalmongers are disappointed to learn that they have been deprived of a real satisfaction regarding the action which was recently started for the recovery of a large sum which the plaintiff alleged was paid into the Conservative Party funds in anticipation of honours. The action has been withdrawn. There is no information as to how the affair was adjusted.
