LOSSES OX RACE BETTING. Dy Telegraph. —Press Associ lion. Christchurch, Jan. 17. Walter Keen, married, a clerk employed by the South Canterbury Power Board, pleaded guilty to embezzling £l3l 19s Id from the .board. Accused said he had been betting on horses, and lately was betting heavily to recuperate his fosses. Keen was committed to the Supreme Court for sentence.
