THEFTS BY AM INSPECTOR
LICENSE FEES APPROPRIATED. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Hamilton, Jan. 17. _ In the Hamilton Court to-day Archibald Gardner, assistant sanitary inspector at Hamilton, was admitted to three years’ probation on 51 charges of small thefts involving £29. The thefts consisted of license fees, which he was not authorised to collect and for which he gave receipts from a book taken from the council office.
