MOTORIST DECLARED DRUNK

DOCTOR’S EVIDENCE FRUITLESS.

Despite the evidence of two doctors who examined him after hi- arrest, I'red Aldingcr, aged 31, chief engineer ot the Texas Oil Company, was to-day convicted of being drunk while in chaigc ° f The" magistrate, Mr. McNeil, made it clear that the decision was based upon his opinion that defendant was unde, the influence of drink at the time of his arrest. It was admitted in the evidence that defendant had had some drinks. He was found asleep at the wheel of a stationary car. In view of the fact that he was not driving the magistrate did not touch his license. He imposed a fine of £2O. ft was stated that in all probability defendant would appeal
