COMMUNIST PAPER'S STORY.

The Communist newspapers Rote Fahne and Weltamabend both give a sensational account of a mutiny-on the cruiser Emden,’which they declare oc; curred at .the beginning of December, It' was kept secret. ' • It' is stated that the officers were constantly receiving banquets in the various ports they visited, while the sailors had starvation rations. They 'demanded the abandonment of the cruise and an immediate return; During discussions they hoisted the red flag and forced the officers to order the cruiser homo before Christmas, whereas it was due in March.
When entering Wilhelmshaven the crew were arrested, .chained and removed to the marine prison. Two were convicted and gaoled.
Authoritative sources discredit the story, but agree, that a few days before, the Internationale was sung. Those responsible were court-martiallcd, two being imprisoned and one acquitted, xj
