CANADIAN BOWLERS’ TOUR
TWENTY-EIGHT REACH AUCKLAND

Auckland, Dec. 30.
Twenty-eight Canadian bowlers arrived hy the Aorangi on Sunday on a five weeks’ tour of New Zealand. Eight of tho original party had to back out at the last minute through business developments. The tourists will play only six rinks instead of eight as intended.
They admit that they arc out for the fun of it, but they include bowlers holding very creditable records with their home clubs. The captain of the team is Dr. Krupp, a member of the Canadian team that toured Britain in 1924.
The Mayor (Mr. G. Baildon) will extend a formal welcome to the visitors at the test match, Auckland v. Canada, next Saturday. They will open their tour at Whangarci to-morrow. Tho visitors arrived at Whangarci this afternoon and were given a civic welcome. This evening they play friendly games with the Whangarci Bowling Chib. To-morrow morning they will be taken to W’hangaruru, where old-time Maori customs will be re-enacted. In the afternoon they will play in a tourney at Whangarel.
