Gisborne, Last Night. A lorry driver named Albert Edward Simpson pleaded guilty in the Police Court to-day to being found in charge of a lorry at an early hour in the morning while in a state of intoxication. The police stated that the accused was convicted of a similar offence in Auckland on May 18, 1927, and his license was then cancelled for two years.
