MOTOR-CYCLIST KILLED

COLLISION WITH MOTOR-CAR. ’ By Telegraph.—Press Association. Christchurch,- Last' Night. A collision which took .place between a motor-cycle and, a. motor-car near Sockburn railway crossing early on Saturday evening resulted in the death of Thomas Alexander Hardie, a single man aged 21. Hardie was driving the motorcar and had with him as passengers James White, aged 19, and Harold Edward Wright, both of Templeton. White was injured and is in hospital. The remaining passenger, Wright, was knocked but, but' recovered consciousness shortly afterwards, His injuries were slight. _ The motor-car was driven by Peter William Toomey. The motor-cycle was badly damaged, but. the car .escaped lightly. Tho.se in the, ear, were uninjured. .
