PUBLIC GIVES THREE-QUARTERS. By Telegraph—Press Assn.—Copyright. Canberra, Dec. 19. Mr. E. G. Theodore, the Federal Treasurer, announces that the approximate amount subscribed to the recent £10,000,000 loan by the public wan £7,750,000 which he regarded as satisfactory in view of the stringent monetary conditions.
