BUSINESS OF MONTHLY MEETING.

The monthly meeting of the Taranaki Land Board wag held on Wednesday and Thursday. Present: Messrs. W. D. Armit (chairman), S. Blake, C. J. Ryan, N. R. Cleland and EL A. Foreman. The following applications for land were approved.—H. J. E. Judd, grazing tenancy over Section 6, Puiiiwhakau Village; F. K. Kopke, Pt. Sections 2 and 29, Block V Ngatimaru; A. W. Andrew, grazing tenancy Section 22, Block 11., Tangitu; N. Amrein, Section G, Block IV., Aria. Proposals for expenditure of “thirds” by the Whangamoniona County Council were apprpved. The following applications to transfer were approved. —Section 4, Block 111., Aria, M. Dahl to D. Dahl; Section 080. Town of Stratford, Tribe, Brown and Co. Ltd. to IL E. Carryer; Section 3SI. Town of Stratford, Tribe, Brown and Co. Ltd., to C. Ennis; Sub. 18 of Section 1, Ohawc Town Belt; H. B. Burdekin to W. J. Claringbold; L°t 1. Pt. Section 1952, Town of New Plymouth; H. Peterson, C. R. Mclsaac and G. Pullen to F. Langley; Section F, Town of New Plymouth, A. Skyes to W. E. Moyle; Section 6, Block V., Upper. Waitara, S. Campbell to G. C. Whittaker (sublease); Section 20, Block 11., Obura, J. Garvey to J. Williamson (sublease). Thirty-one cases under the Discharged ■Soldiers Settlement Act were considered, and of those one application for a temporary grazing tenancy was approved; two applications ■ for exemption, from residence were approved; one application to sub-let wa«s recommended; five application’s for chrrent • account advances were recommended; two applications to purcha’se abandoned properties were approved.
