ALMONDS AND RAISINS. Take a bar of good plain chocolate; break it up, put it in a jar, cover with a ©aucer, and stand the jar in a saucepan in which there is about an inch of boiling water. Place the saucepan near gentle heat, and wait till the chocolate has dissolved. When removing the saucer to look at the chocolate, be careful that no drops of water caused by the steam fall into the jar. When the chocolate is melted, take a long pin, stick each almond and raisin separately on the point and dip it into the jar. Be sure it ie well coated, leave to dry on a slightly buttered plate. Push each sweet off the pin with another pin, as they mark if touched with the fingers. THE INK-POT GOBLIN.
