SWIMMING CHAMPIONS

TOURNAMENT AT HAWERA.. LARGE CROWD, GOOD FIELDS. The presence of three New Zealand champions, Miss Kathleen Miller (also an Olympic representative), and Messrs. C. Claridge and I. McHardy, at the first carnival of the Hawera Swimming Club’s season attracted a large attendance to the municipal baths last night. The fact that the night was cold, and there w’ere intermittent showers, did not deter the swimmers, who were present from all parts of Taranaki, Wanganui, Feilding and Wellington. .
