TARANAKI ASSOCIATION MEET.'. Tho first monthly meeting of the new committee of the Taranaki Automobile Association was held last night, when there Were present Messrs. F. 11. Blundell (in the chair), F. Amoore, W. Guild, F. Dodunski, W. G. Reid, W. R. Johns,. 11. C. Sturm, T. W. Morris and the secretary, Mr. V. Duff. Tho president welcomed the two new members, Messrs. Reid and Dodunski. It was reported that pegs would shortly bo placed on the mountain track every half mile, showing the distance and the altitude. Mr. Amoore reported that the polo at the White Hart Hotel corner, New Plymouth, was to be removed, but it was unlikely that the work would be done immediaely as a suitable tinie would have to be chosen to carry'out tho removal. - . \ The matter of having road reports published and broadcasted was left in the hands of tho chairman and secretary. ." : ’ Correspondence; was received from the < Health Department stating that the Tongaporutu camp site had been inspected and approved. The department made eeratin suggestion-, regarding the first aid equipment at Mt/ Messenger. These were agreed to. There was considerable discussion on the present system of parking, but no definite decision was reached.
