The Frankton brand of the Amalgamated Society of Railway Servants passed a resolution expressing the keenest resentment at Parliament’s refusal to grant “long overdue advances in pay especially to basic wage earners.” The resolution states that the reason given for withholding the restoration of the' cuts applies equally to the remuneration of members of Parliament which had been substantially increased.
