Rec. 8.5 p.m. Suva, Nov. 22, The new Governor, Sir Murchison > Fletcher, arrived by. the Aorangi and. was met by the acting;Governor, the <• Hon. A. W K Seymour, members of the Executive Council, tho flavor Mr. Marks, prominent officials find citizens. From King’s wharf he was escorted to the Supreme Court, where he was sworn in by tho Chief Justice as Governor of Fiji and High Commissioner of the Western Pacific. A civic reception was afterwards ten-;" dered at tho town hall to Sir Murchison and Lady Fletcher, who created a very favourable first impression.
