HOSPITAL RADIO FUND, HAWERA SOCIETY’S CONCERT. In to-day’s advertising columns will bo found full particulars of the concert programme to be given by the. Hawera Orchestral Society and the Hawera Malo Choir and assisting artists at’ the Opera House on Wednesday evening in aid of the New, Plymouth public hospital adio fund. The programme is an. attractive one and includes several selections by the orchestra, part songs by the Male Choir, quartettes by the Choir Male Quartette, instrumental solos by Miss Betty Sturrock, A.R.C.M., Mr. J. Maloney and Mr. J. Carter and Master D. Rawson, with vocal solos by Mrs. Sunderland, Miss McGlashen, Messrs. B. Malone, E. Pacey and A. E. Morris. Some time ago the Hawera societies gave help towards the installation of radio receiving , sets in the hospital there and received some assistance from New Plymouth singers, and the visit to New Plymouth; is to repay the help received on that occasion. The cause is a very deserving one and should make a wide appeal in North Taranaki. The prices of admission are popular, and seats in . the circle may be reserved at Colliers. : -
