AIR LINER STRIKES ROCK
FAMOUS CANBERRA DAMAGED.By Telegraph—Press Assn.—Copyright. Sydney, November 21. Twelve passengers had a narrow escape from serious injury when the famous plane Canberra, piloted by Captain Holden, struck a large rock and overturned at Long Plain, near Inverell (New South Wales). The plane struck a boulder, which was hidden in long grass, with great force. Several of the occupants were cut, while others escaped with shock. The plane was badly damaged. The Canberra, which discovered the Southern Cross in North-west Australia, was only . recently renovated.
