DECREASING DEMAND EVIDENT. FALLING OF LONDON PRICES. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, Nov. 20. Tn a recent report to the Government concerning tho state of the market for Chinchilla rabbit skins, states the Minister of Agriculture, Mr. G. W. Forbes, tho High Commissioner advised that there had been a considerable decline in tho demand. It was apparent that tho vogue for Chinchilla furs was merely a passing phase of fashion and, unless the fashionable demand was removed, tho prices for skins, which at one time reached ICs per skin, were likely to go still lower. Wtih tho decreasing* demand the available supplies appear to bo largo and one London firm aldno had for sale towards the end of October 30,000 Canadian Chinchilla skins.
